Where’s the morality?

November 10, 2011

Where’s the morality in cutting services for the vast majority while lowering taxes for the rich?

That’s what New Yorkers like Daily News columnist Juan Gonzalez are asking.

Our research shows that, in 2008, less than one half of one percent of New York households—about 35,000—had incomes of more than $1 million. That’s the equivalent of earning about $20,000 a week.

That same year, 3.3 million households—a whopping 34 percent of New York families—earned less than $20,000 a year.

Join a day of action for the 99 percent on Thursday November 17th. We’ll be at Manhattan’s Foley Square at 5pm. Learn more about the day’s activities here.
