Nicholas was formerly vice president and chief program officer at the Vera Institute of Justice in New York City.

Mark Winston Griffith is a long-time community activist and organizer in Central Brooklyn and a nationally recognized expert on economic justice, community reinvestment, and urban policy issues. He is the former Executive Director of the Drum Major Institute for Public Policy and currently the Executive Director of the Brooklyn Movement Center.

Jessica Shearer

Jessica Shearer

Jessica Shearer  is a campaign architect. A Senior Advisor to the Engage Network, Jessica works with women, union members, people of color, and low income communities using online tools to build offline power. Previously, Jessica   directed New York State’s largest legislative advocacy organization, the SEIU-backed Healthcare Education Project. She has run successful legislative and electoral campaigns from East Harlem to Bogotá and managed nine states during the 2008 presidential election.
