Center for Working Families

The Center for Working Families (CWF) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan think-and-do tank focusing on green and equitable economies, fair taxation, workers’ rights and government reform. CWF was founded by long-time community activists, veteran union organizers, and experienced policy advocates to bring innovative ideas into the public debate, provide policymakers with progressive policy solutions, and help build coalitions to win policy change. CWF develops policies by convening stakeholders and experts and, through close working relationships with powerful and diverse allies, acts as a transmission belt to connect decision-makers with policy solutions. CWF’s think-and-do approach involves participating in policy formulation from initial ideas to final adoption, remaining engaged in and responsive to political processes.
